"Slaughter the Passover lambs, consecrate yourselves and prepare the lambs for your
fellow countrymen, doing what the Lord commanded through Moses"
2 Chr 35, 6
"And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I
Luc 22, 15
The lack of awareness about the political problems ministerial entails false doctrinal debates,
contaminating or distorting the true knowledge of the Word of God. On one hand, due to the direct
manipulation of the Word, on the other, the contradictory testimony.
The Truth and the truths we tell.
The church tends to consider only the spiritual and religious issues
Under this mantle, with the ever-blessed and rare exceptions, political disputes are covered. This
"distraction" occurs for two twin errors, the first, somewhat cynical, for understanding that politics
should not be subject of the church, the second, to substantiate the first, taking advantage of
ignorance, by understanding how politics debate political party.
This ecclesiastical convenience hides the political problems that exist in the church and has always
hidden before it, creating tensions, suffering, resentment, and sooner or later disruptions.
First, we should understand what politics is. Without wishing to deepen, only to understand
this text, we use a definition that is not common, but simple: politics is the distribution of power, ie, like
the "cake" it is divided among the "participants of the table." It can be by consensus, or said
democratic or not, with names like theocracy, tyranny, despotism, etc..
It is a pretension the church considers itself pure and holy. Men tend to want to occupy a space, there
are honest reasons for it or not, there are psychological and sociological explanations, which do not
concern us here.
The point is not so much whether it is correct or not do politics in the church, the point is lack of
awareness. The unfounded assumption that politics demands are not on the ecclesiastical tariff.
Mashiach Yeshua, Holy is His Name, was unique in understanding their situation facing the political
events of his time and facing the needs of the Kingdom. He Knew well the boundaries between these
two fields of action and transitioned them with full knowledge, leaving the other protagonists in
Among the many good examples, just to illustrate:
“Jesus replied, "I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am
doing these things. John's baptism-was it from heaven, or from men? Tell me.”
Mar 11, 29 e 30
How Yeshua confronts those who were worried about the "cake" was by exposing his odd ambition,
sacrifice himsel, as well as the imminent destruction of his own “cake”, i.e the Temple and all it meant
to the Chosen Nation.
“As the crowds increased, Jesus said, "This is a wicked generation. It asks for a miraculous sign, but
none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.”
Luc 11, 29
Perfect! The subversion is clear.
We are certain that, our emotional or physical survival depends on taking the party "in it." Power,
therefore, is associated with life, and thus, some passages are uncomfortable because they
contradict the common thought ...
“Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.”
Luc 17, 33
Not only is the difficulty of dealing with our own survival, we still have more problems to be solved...
We are besieged by an unreliable heart and we are unable to make judgments, destroying our ability
to deal with deadlocks.
“For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”
Luc 6, 45 frag
A corrupt person tends to see corruption in everything and everyone. A person who only sees his
interests tend to see themselves as people who will do everything to gain advantage.
Thus Moshiach was analyzed.
So who can ensure his righteousness, if there is reason in defeat and shame in victory? Only time will
bring to light the fact, and sometimes it will require a long time. And time is something that we have
absolutely no control of.
Not only the antagonists of Yeshua, but also his followers, yes, the “Holy Apostles" did not know how to
deal with politics. The discussion that fought each other is clear in its intent.
“Also a dispute arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest.”
Luc 22, 24
And this after Mashiach Yeshua talk about the betrayer and before the imminent death of Yeshua.
They established, therefore, a dispute without even understanding the teaching of Moshiach. Such a
pretention when analyzed by us, the ones who know what happened to these apostles, sounds
awkward and meaningless ... When it should fill us with astonishment and "some" fear.
And the thought is: to what extent a political victory is a victory for God? Our primer (the clipping is
Protestantism) is a primer, from the political viewpoint, the winner. Was it the arm of God?
Now, Judaism is firm and strong. Catholicism, from this point of view, has more prerogative than the
All, given the contradictions between them, are right?
Then a political victory is not necessarily ballast for faith.
It is clear that God, providentially, has preserved important elements of faith by men who defended the
causes of faith, with more or less interest.
Thus, if a concept is correct, the volition of his defense will be higher and will never be free of a
This realization will never guarantee that all intentions are good. Thus, humans, and particularly those
who stand shoulder to shoulder in defense of our faith, did not guarantee nor guarantee to fix for
themselves, or acquitted in all his actions, words and concepts.
This applies to the Church Fathers and is worth to the church on the corner. Recalling that the heir is
not always the chosen son by the father, but the most skilled, the most determined, not to say, the most
belligerent and even the less scrupulous.
The personal achievement is important; no doubt, in this achievement are the stimuli, the willingness
and motivation to justify the life, to push the boat forward. At least to a point where the servant really
dies in Yeshua and lives like that "forgotten himself (a nice term) as those who experienced the events
before the martyrdom, registered in expressions like
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”.
Phl 1, 21
In any situation where the defense of the faith is not accompanied by this sacrifice (including
submission, loss, humiliation, etc.), a clear personal defense is evident. Even in extreme cases such
as the expulsion of apostates there is preservation (personal and collective) and it is a political
solution, even in part.
So it's important that things be handled as they are, for the sake of faith. A discussion or difference
shall be treated as a political dispute, the "spiritual" mantle needs to be removed for the good
teaching is not distorced or ashamed ...
These are two aspects of the denial of Mashiach, the Law and the Prophets.
